About
Valeria Sol is a Colombian-Nigerian solo artist raised between Cartagena and London — the imagined collision of two musical worlds. She fuses the warm, undulating rhythms of Afrobeats with Caribbean salsa and reggaeton sensibility, creating a sound that represents the fastest-growing Latin subgenre intersection of 2025–2026. Born to a Colombian marine biologist mother and a Nigerian jazz musician father, Valeria spent her formative years absorbing cumbia from her grandmother's kitchen radio and Afrobeats from her father's rehearsal space. Her music explores movement — physical, emotional, geographic — themes of displacement and belonging, the warmth of a home you carry inside you. Valeria writes with aspiration without hollowness, romance without naiveté. Her aesthetic merges golden-hour coastal cinematography with Afro-diasporic textiles and contemporary fashion — globally aware, deeply rooted.
