Sable Moon

Sable Moon

Rhythm Guitar / Synth

Age 26

Charismatic, irreverent, secretly the most emotionally perceptive person in the room. Sable diffuses tension with humor and a sharp wit, but beneath that is a musician who thinks deeply about sound as architecture. She is the one who brought the cinematic synth layer into the band — a decision that defined their identity.

Backstory

Real name Sabrina Moon Park — she kept her surname because she loved the image and her parents thought it was funny. Born in Eugene, OR, to Korean-American parents; her mother is a cellist with the Oregon Symphony. Sable grew up fluent in classical theory but allergic to the formality of it. She taught herself synths through YouTube tutorials and by reverse-engineering the scores of Hans Zimmer films she was obsessed with as a teenager. She met Vera at a Reed College house show and recognized something rare immediately. Their creative partnership began that night. Sable is the second most prolific lyric contributor in the band and writes most of the bridges.

Visual Identity

Often wears two-tone or color-blocked stage outfits. Short silver-dyed hair. Always has in-ear monitors before anyone else at soundcheck.
